Which chamber of the human heart receives oxygenated blood

The left atrium of the human heart is the chamber that receives oxygenated blood. Oxygenated blood comes from the lungs through the pulmonary veins. From the left atrium the blood is pushed into the left ventricle which pumps it to the whole body through the aorta.
