Afghanistan became the eighth member of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation in two thousand seven. Founding members were Bangladesh Bhutan India Maldives Nepal Pakistan and Sri Lanka. China and Iran are not members. Thus Afghanistan is the latest entrant among the listed choices.
