The real name of Mughal Emperor Jahangir was

On accession he adopted the regnal title “Jahangir.” His birth name was Nūr ud Dīn Muhammad Salim. He was Akbar’s son and Shah Jahan’s father. “Jahangir” literally means “Seizer of the World.”
