The Seaport of Karachi is the main gateway for Pakistan international trade and handles the largest share of imports and exports. Located on the Arabian Sea it connects Pakistan to global shipping routes. Although Gwadar Port is developing as a strategic hub the Karachi Port continues to process millions of tons of goods every year including textiles rice wheat machinery and petroleum. Its infrastructure warehouses and container terminals make it a critical part of the national economy. Without this port Pakistan would face severe logistical challenges in maintaining foreign trade with Europe Asia and the Middle East.
