Which Turkic figure first set up rule in the Subcontinent

Qutb ud din Aibak founded the Delhi Sultanate after serving under Muhammad Ghori. He established control in North India and commissioned early monuments around Delhi. Later sultans expanded the territory and administration. Babar came much later and founded the Mughal Empire not the first Turkic sultanate.
